I know there is a big land battling super tournament going on, but I have to admit, I had a really good time doing a short tournament with fixed lists.
The armies in this type of tournament have to be well rounded as one list faces so many different foes, tactics become critical, and well its just different than one that is going on.
Anyone else interested? I still have three "medals"... and well, Cake or Death is the "Summer tournament."
Maybe we can make the Cake or Death tourney an excuse to learn 6th while keeping 5th until the end of Hoth Hath No Fury.
See you all soon...

I wouldn't mind doing a Cake or Death 2012 provided two conditions are met:
1. We devote a designated time period to complete said tournament to avoid cutting into the Hoth Hath No Fury campaign
2. We play using 5th edition rules
Trying to learn 6th edition and apply those rules in the tournament without ample field testing will be unfair for those who don't get an immediate grasp of the new rules; I know I couldn't take pride in a victory if my opponent only lost because they were confused. And I also know if I try to learn 6th edition in the middle of Hoth Hath No Fury, it's going to screw me up for the rest of the campaign.

Single army list: yes; points limit can be re-debated.
We have to meet soon for Round 3 challenges, lets discuss the Tournament too.

I don't know about the rest of you lads, but I'd be up for increasing the point limit to 1500. I might even feel saucy enough to suggest 1750.

I concur, 1500 might be very reasonable... although at 1750 maybe set a game time limit to avoid 200 model armies *cough* green tide *cough*...
You guys have been playing a lot of games recently so you will know how long games times take better... though for a shorter time span single army event, it seems like larger armies would be the norm...
Plus more points=more models... and to me more fun and crazy times...

1500 would be fine, and I'm game for either 5th or 6th edition ruleset.
