True... I just want to magnetize the beast so bad!! It does not compute to not use the base to make both.... although this is one of the most difficult to magnetize I have seen! I havnt played nids enough to understand why a Tyranofex is worth it....
In big games... 2000+ I get it, there will be Baneblades out there, there will be Vindicators all over, there will be Chimeras with heavy flamers.... I say Tyrannofex GO! But in smaller games a flying Hive Tyrant cant do it all! Especially in 6th! With Vector strike etc...
Why a tyrannofex? I mean its an armor stopper! It sits back with many wounds and pummels shit... but its expensive points wise!
Whats your reasoning?

>well, a.) it's big and nasty, and i like the model, and b.) a tyrannofex is also good for taking out enemy command units, and i like getting those out of the way ASAP. but don't you fear, brother, Tervigon "Lilith" is coming soon. soon as i go back to work, that is. i plan to go all out on her paint job, too...<

I asked because I too like the model... Even command unit killing is a good role(especially with the lack of armor in 6th) but a good player will hide them, or deep strike them, or as I have seen many times just put them in a bulding or on bikes to get a cover save...
Its just so un-GW. They make a big beautiful model and then overcost the pants off it points wise. Granted if you kill a command squad, you atleast earn your points back(unless its guard, then you have a lot more killing to do)have you played one yet?
As I have not, what was your experience? Does it at least get the job done you brought it for reliably?

>Golgotha did well in the one battle it was fielded in. but i was playing against a female eldar player from my japanese class with very little actual gaming experience.<
