Tim, you might be one of the few people I know that would appreciate this thread: forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=84493The following campaign title suggestions have been brought to you by one of the best (if short lived) sci-fi shows ever created: No Power in the 'Verse Can Stop Us Too Pretty Too Die Gorram Hwoon Dahn (Translation: God-damn Jerk) Jaynestown Classic (adding "classic" to the campaign title makes me thing of golf ) And I hate to get off the subject here, but since Tim and I were talking about Deathmachine quotes yesterday, I did some digging around online and guess what? There are 4 versions of the movie! The normal version we've all seen is 99 minutes long. There is a 128 minute version! We HAVE to find this!

Yep! I found a 111 minute version on Ebay for $10, but I'm holding out for the 128 minute version. Per IMDB:
The film was banned in several countries, including Iraq, China, Malaysia and Australia among others. The Board of Film Censors accuse the film of excessive violence (perhaps the most famous scene from the film, the scene of the elevator, where they were censored 12 seconds), and screening for drug habits (in one of the scenes of the film, the cast of actors smoked several giants cannabis cigarettes). But undoubtedly the most censored of the film was the character played by Brad Dourif, Jack Dante. The character was accused of violent acute psychosis, profanity, lewd behavior, incitement to murder and incitement to rape. Some countries also censored a scene in which dead babies showed the arms of the company, and this scene reported on numerous occasions.

Funny link, Ellis. Brock is by far better, but Dash's line "Let me throw a barrel at it" is a classic. I just bought Season 1 of Freakazoid a few weeks ago, and that episode is on it. Hilarious! As for Death Machine: an extra half hour of Gimp Ninja goodness? Count me in. Any chance Cale shows some skin in the extra footage?

A man can certainly hope!
I agree, Brock is by far better. But the things Dash can do with a barrel, it's almost...criminal. I can't remember when was the last time I saw that show. Ah, Ricardo Montalban...God rest your soul.

So what's left to vote on?

I don't know about what's left to vote on, but I've been wondering about when and where we'll meet to select territories and kick off the campaign.

The items I can think of which we need to vote on are on post #74 of this thread: Here is what I can think of: 1) Campaign name. "Cake or Death" is the annual Tournament, "BWP" is the group name and website, so what should the annual (hopefully) Campaign be called? List of suggestions then vote? 2) Beginning number of tiles. Suggestions so far: 25 total; 5 per player; 10 per player. Other suggestions? 3) Maximum number of attacks to be declared per person per turn. Suggestions so far: 1; 2; 3; a number equal to your current territories; unlimited. We should all keep in mind that each turn you may have to play several games to defend your territories from other players in addition to any games you declare an attack. Also, we should all keep in mind that your empire can only grow if you win a game where you are the Attacker (i.e. If you Defend and win twice, but Attack and win once, your empire only grows by 1 territory). We are not voting yet, just getting a list of things to vote on. Anything else anyone can think of? Do we need more nominations for Campaign name? Can anyone think of anything else that needs to be calculated/figured/argued in order to be voted on? We should all read Matt's last summary of Campaign rules in this thread to see if we can think of anything else.

AHHHHHHHH!!! Five days till the start of the Winter Campaign! I am so not ready for this...I have a crap ton of stuff that needs to be painted. OK, so in response to Tim's repost of post 74 posted by...whoever posted it, I vote the following: 1. It's a winter campaign, right? So How about... Hoth Hath No FuryBeing that it's the winter campaign, we can come up with a different name for subsequent campaigns 2. Assuming we have five players, how about 35 tiles total, 7 per player (5 per to start just didn't seem like enough, not sure why). The length of the campaign can be decided like the legnth of a regular game. He who holds the most...well, you get it. 3. Max Attacks: 2 per turn.

I can extend the start date count down. No one told me to make it the 15th.

Really? I was wondering about that. Well, I know there was talk of only allowing models that were painted with a minimum of 4 colors. And though that seems strict, I have to agree that it's pretty ridiculous we've been playing for 15 years and I don't think anyone has a completely painted army. Well, except Aaron. And maybe The Wick. But one's gay and the other is just weird. I'll let you decide which is which. In all seriousness, I sure could use additional time to prep. And new terrain would certainly come in handy.

Ellis - We are not voting yet, these are only the things we need to vote on. All - Are there any more items to vote on? We can add painted/proxied models to the list of things to vote for. The talk about "4 colors per model" was just an example of how most tournaments set their requirements. Ellis - I like your suggestion for campaign name a lot! Also, I have a fully painted army. They do not have decals yet, but that is only because I just recently gave up on my search for a place to print white decals for me.

Tim - Fine, YOU have a fully painted army. I'll add you to the list of the gay and weird. Happy? :-)

Voting is up on separate polls. Get your votes in soon.
Then, we just have to decide when we can all get together to build the map and choose territories. Should be fun!
