>can anyone (most notably Servo) tell me if there have been any rumors regarding new Sisters, either plastics or entirely new models? other than a couple Special Characters and the Penitent Engine, they really haven't had a PROPER update since their inception back when i was living in Champagan. unless you count the Witchhunters codex. but i'm talking new stuff. i know about the codex they printed in WD a few issues back, have both parts, but really, it's just a rehashing of what was already available with a few tweaks. SISTERS DESERVE SOME NEW UNITS! - sent on behalf of Melissa, who asks me about them every time i mention any of you guys. which is often.<

They just got a White Dwarf update a few months ago. Fluff one month, rules the next month.
They did the same for Blood Angels, and then after a few months GW release the rules for free on their website. I bet they will do the same with Sisters very soon.
As for models, we probably have to wait for a proper codex. And since they just released a White Dwarf update, it will probably be awhile.

If they were smart, they'd roll out some new models soon like they did for Blood Angels. And though I was unhappy to see the new B.A. models got the Joel Shumacker "Bat-suit" treatment, I don't think I'd be as disappointed to see nipples on the SoB.

Those aren't nipples. They're twin linked assault cannons.

There was a HUGE rumour dump on the site theonering.net by a supposed anonymous, disgruntled GW employee. The list showed all GW models for The Hobbit and WH40K to be released next year after June up to an unknown time. Here is the Sister of Battle stuff: - Sisters of Battle Battle Sisters, Plastic- box
- Sisters of Battle Seraphim / Patronica Squad, Plastic- box
- Sisters of Battle Repentia Squad, Finecast- box
- Sisters of Battle Exorcist / Catafalque of Sins, Plastic- box
- Sisters of Battle Sister Superior Magdalenia, Finecast- clamshell
- Sisters of Battle Canoness with Power Axe, Finecast- clamshell
- Sisters of Battle Prioress Lazarea Verata, Finecast- clamshell

Dude... check the post... that was a year ago!
While I have had my pants handed to me many times by a well executed SoB force... It feels to me like the "Chief Idiot" at GW thinks they can not make money off this line...
I mean with the Exorcist putting out D6 S8 AP1 missles every round... plus great jump troops like Seraphim, backed up by power armoured guard... They are great!
I have read several articles which say its not going to happen... sadly....
right now, the only reason they are not a complete delete is that the Necrons have a whole story based on their defeat...
Garbage I say!

While I have had my pants handed to me many times by a well executed SoB force... This makes me laugh for two reasons: firstly, it sounds like you're insulting your opponent by referring to him as a "son of a bitch". That's the obvious one. The second (and much better, IMHO) reason is you just admitted you got your ass handed to you by chics, man.

Hey... they can take a heavy flamer and two regular flamers in a chimera with Bolters on the rest of the squad (Yes the SoB might be fag hags if humor is to be seen in this), or just 3 or four heavy bolters with bs 4 in a chimera. The have the Seraphim jump girls who have two pistols which count as two hand to hand weapons(Yes, completely inspired by John Woo), plus these jump girls get hit and run and with 3+ armor... they dont go down fast.(It takes a lot of holy water if you know what I mean)
Then they have their "Prayers", which for all intents and purposes are psychic powers.... except they cannot be nullified in any way... One of these gives them an invulnerable save equal to their regular armor save, one adds strength to their weapons, and then there are others...
In the end, your chasing down chimeras full of Ultra cheap spacemarines(who have one less toughness and one less str as their only difference, at 125 base for 10) while D6 melta(strength 8 ap1) missles with a range of 48 inches are hammering your vehicles and troops...
Oh and did I mention an exorcist is only 135 points?
So its like playing a swarm-ish space marine force who has kisk ass Heavy weapon tanks, great assault troops, and just when your powerklaws are about to rip into a squad al of a sudden they gain invulnerable saves....
Its really a strong force if tooled up correctly. I am regularly surprised to see them ranked low on "best army" lists....
Course now with 6th edition out there, well all things are shifted... but still... Any girls(and I know girl gamerz are rare) might want to represent... Might bring more girls into the game...
But as usual, why make a girl army in plastic when GW can just make more of what they already have more expensive.
