That table is AMAZING! But I'm pretty sure that is beyond my basic and meager skills. But still...this requires some deep thought. I downloaded a copy of the sketch-up. I'll have to wait till I get home to take a look at it (stupid work filter...seems they want me to actually do some work). There is a video of the completed table (oh so sexy...); according to the comments posted by the maker, he estimates costs to be in the $500 range.

$500? Didn't realize it would cost that much. However, $500 (or maybe less if you shop around for the components) is not too bad for a dining room table AND gaming table. ;D
I bet if we all chipped in with tools and knowledge (ahem... Ghostwheel) it could be done. I got a mitre saw for Christmas I haven't used yet.
Worth investigating.

I need to add a slight correction to my previous message regarding the cost: it was $500 not including the wood. His father has a workshop so they already had all the wood on hand. Yikes!
I like the idea of the drop-down dice box, but I don't think the cup holders are necessary, as well as the table/writing area. Though that table area would be a great feature, so I at least consider adding that. I have an idea for a simple mission-style table along the lines of something Servo and I discussed at Adepticon.
