So I probably should've partaken in the last visit, but I was curious if anyone needed to go for anything? I'd be willing to drive.

YES!
Count me in please. I need 3" deep trays, and I can't find them anywhere.

I'd be good to go next saturday 10/29 or the following saturday 11/5.
The store's hours are pretty brutal on the weekends only being open between 8am-12pm and closed on Sunday. Other than that they're open M-F 8am-4pm during the week days, but that doesn't really help me much since I'm out of vacation days.

I am free for either Saturday.
Let's meet for breakfast before we go. Or, go first and then lunch?
If we go Saturday Nov 5, we could do a combined Plano/GW day since that is the release day for Necrons. I know I am getting the codex at least.
Or, if some of us cannot spend that much time out, it might be a good reason to go Oct. 29 to Plano and leave Nov 5 for Necron-gasms.
I could actually go this Saturday, Oct 22 if you are in a hurry.

Let's plan for 10/29, I can't do this saturday but I'm not in a rush either.
I am free pretty much all day 11/5 so I plan on being around some GW stores that day to at least get the codex.

Might want to see if you can get one reserved for you... dont want to drive around all day just to find out they are all bought up. According to the lawsuit against Paulson games the Chicagoland area is the biggest market in the us for their product... Though this could work to your advantage as they may have their stockists get extra...
Servo, you have picked up some dexes the first week of release right? Did you have any issues?

I have never had any issues, but I did reserve the Dark Eldar codex and I think the Blood Angel codex. Both times I saw more on the shelf, but it doesn't hurt to be careful.

How fr in advance do you have to reserve? I walk past a GW store everyday on the way into work, but they almost never have the current white dwarf or models I want in stock, Id like to be a bit more proactive on this one...

Interesting things we learned on the trip today. They didn't have any of those tackle boxes you guys had from last time BUT what we did find out is that a soft tackle bag would be a nice option for transport. Tim and I found the bags at Gander Mountain in Geneva on Randall from the Flambeau brand, but they were too spendy($80-$100). Plus they came WITH trays, which we already know we can get trays real cheap at the plano store. So I did some searching for the Flambeau models that we saw at Gander and discovered that there's another bag system from Cabela's that will actually work better. Here's the link: www.cabelas.com/tackle-bags-cabelas-advanced-angler-pro-series-tackle-bags-boxes-1.shtmlThe cool thing is that Cabela's offers these bags WITHOUT boxes and the "large" is the comparable size to the Flambeau brand we saw at Gander and it's only $39.99 at cabela's store. The VERY cool thing is that the "magnum" (which is backordered unfortunately) is only $49.99 but it'll hold EIGHT of the trays we've been getting at Plano store (2-3700 model) not including the outside pockets for other things. I'm pretty damn stoked about this Cabela's bag being able to use the Plano trays too (there's a guy in the comments that confirmed the plano trays work just fine in this bag). EDIT: I just noticed that the "Large" has smaller trays than the "Magnum" so that probably won't work for the current trays. Don't see any other colors and there's a huge "Cabela's" logo on the front, but whatever, it's a cheap bag system. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I know a lot of you guys picked up those rigid plastic cases for really cheap and I still think that's a sweet deal that I totally missed out on, but I think I have an opportunity to try out this "tackle bag" thing and see if it can fit everything that I'll ever need.

I like the idea of the tackle bag; it would be nice to be able to use a shoulder strap when carrying stuff around rather than using the handles. The only poblem I have with the tackle bags is the trays sit on their sides rather than on the bottom; that's a whole lot of minis being shifted around unnecessarily, IMHO. If you find one that let's the trays sit flat, let me know. I may be interested in trying it out myself.

I don't see why you couldn't just put them in flat instead of on their ends. I guess it would be more difficult getting them out if you had to pull each one out first when their stacked in there as opposed to being able to grab each one when in there on end. It's 14" high so you could stack 7 of those trays flat inside and still have room for one or two on it's end I would think.....
I'll let you know though since I'll probably be buying one.

I'm just not sure about the inner dimensions of the bags vs. the trays; I'd rather pull out trays to get to the bottoms than have the trays lying on their sides. When you get one, I'd definitely like to take a look at it.
