>greetings to all of you! i apologize for my not-being-here-ness for the past few months, but as our brother Johnny put so eloquently, i HAVE kinda slipped into "daddy-mode." it's been busy, preparing and such, but last nite i put brush to miniature for the second time in some weeks, and was sadly disappointed with the results. i'm a tad rusty. to continue (and finish) the "daddy mode" thing, we will be having a boy. a rather feisty and active one, thus far. for details, message me.
as for my painting disappointment, i'm trying to finish my Interrogator. he'll be done by the end of the day, but i'm not entirely thrilled with him. in case any of you hadn't put two and two together yet, i've been using my Inquisitorial Warband and my Eldar Harlequin Troupe as platforms (since about 2006) to try out more advanced and experimental painting techniques - some have worked out quite well, others, not so much. my interrogator ("witch hunter acolyte 1") has the flaming torch staff. i tried a new technique for the flames, and i'm very happy with them. i played a bit with some transfers, and i'm happy there. but working with edge highlights on his clothing, i'm not happy. you'll hopefully see pics of him soon. i HAVE achieved success with the aforementioned highlights on my Harlequin Shadowseer, however. enough so that i consider it some of my best work.
other than that, life is good, aside from being laid off for the time being. oh, and I'M BACK, MUTHAFUCKAZ!<
