The imperial armor painting book shows many uses for weathering powders and my friend Bill has used them to make the most realistic looking weathering on tanks and ruins, but has anyone in our group used them?
I guess I could pick some up and just get all hands on training about it... but I hate to waste time and/or money... course the experience itself could be rewarding.
Any tips? Are they truly "powders," it makes me think of girls makeup when they say it that way. Or are they liquid based particles that dry like a powder? It seems like a weird concept...
Thanks in advance for any of the knowledges!

I haven't tried it yet, but I did pick up a 24 pack of earth-tone pastels; use a razor to scrap the pastels and you have weathering powder. I'll let you know how it turns out (if I ever get around to using them!).
