>i'm wondering if we could put a section/thread for scenario ideas. the way i see it, GW puts a ton of scenario ideas in rulebooks, codexes, and Apocalypse books, why can't we come up with our own? hell, we've been doing it for around 20 years already.
an example: i came up with a Long Live the Grots scenario a few years back, which involved Night Fight rules, and the ork player only had 20 individual grots to play with against an invading force. the mission was to get at least one grot in base contact with an ork terrain piece, and thus unlock (based on a dice roll) various ork units to defend the settlement. basically the point was the grots had to wake their masters up to fight. the only reason i think i failed this scenario is i didn't have enough terrain built back then, and i got my ass handed to me playing it out. plus, night fight rules SUCKED in 5ed.<

... well that and grots are 3pts per model... maybe 2 fifteen man squads so one lucky ordnance doesn't end the game turn one. Plus night fighting is good but maybe also they get the scouts rule so they can start amidst the ork buildings for sure getting two units the first turn...
I have just seen too many armies get destroyed coming in piecemeal!
Maybe also woke units can then wake other units so it could chain reaction. Because if they are starting in the deployment zone... most likely your going to get lootas in the game first as they are far back... but then if all fire is directed at them... they break...
Course the scenario wouldbe risky either way, especially with drop pods and infiltrators out there... against a stealer rush with mawlocs in support a whole group of boys would have to be on their feet fast... most likely turn two. Or deathwing with "doesnt scatter deep strike turn 1 or 2," that could hurt the lads quite a bit!
But yes... a scenario thread could be fun!

I like it. Sounds like a Kill Team type of game.
Could easily be played quickly, and then the 2 players could switch "armies" and play again.
