The Orks and Necrons will be doing battle on Sunday 12/9, and marking the end of Round 3.
The plan for the next meeting can occur here. Maybe after work during the week?

Are you two fighting over Aaron's territory without Aaron?

I like the sound of an end to the round and all, but as Servo points out, its a bit odd if the above match is settling Aarons territory...
Also I dont get out of work until 9pm during the week... so that will be an issue... how about a Saturday afternoon?

Dark Eldar realized they couldn't possible be present on the battlefield as the same time because the territory would just explode from the awesomeness. (IE: DE abandoned territory)

So a Crons v Orks grudge match... Might be too awesome already, I can clearly see how this would effect things. Seismologists have looked into this stimulus on the territory and all simulations do show an excessive build up of the "awesome particle" would produce catastrophic consequences! Cannot wait to hear how it goes!

Sorry, guys. Due to a lack of proper orky health, the battle had to be postponed till a later date. Trust me, it's just not a proper "WAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!" when it comes out as "Waa-ug-hack-hack-ick-ugh". It's just pathetic.

For the final match:
My availability is pretty spotty through this month. It's really bad starting around the 16th through the 28th, but this weekend (8th) and possibly next weekend (16th) could squeeze a game in I would think.

Hey TV land viewers, there is this new game called 40k! Well it's all about this superhuman who lost his sons only to find that once he conquered much of the galaxy they turned on him and started worshipping "evil" gods. At the same time other alien races are fighting for supremacy of the galaxy and the fit hits the shan!!! I for one am ready to roll some dice and get this next round going!!
If your a heretic, send this message to 13 of your friends, or else you'll be cursed! If not, the Emperor smiles upon you, just be your awesome selves!
Remember, the first to win, gets to name the planet!!!

So I guess the question has to be posed: Is the campaign over? Or if it will live on in the fantasy world of 40k, are the real life generals of these forces hanging up their dice?
I for one would love to keep playing especially with this group as we all have a good time... but now we are getting into June and no one seems really "into it" save for servo and myself.
Perhaps it will require a dedicated break followed by a serious start date...
In the end it's supposed to be organized hanging out with friends and having a good time, not a chore which needs to be performed... and perhaps it feels a bit more of the latter for some...
Where is everyone feel like this is going?

Busy times. Things to do, or needing to be done. Vacations and what not. Perhaps we should end the current campaign and start anew after we've gotten in some practice with 6th edition?

The more pressing issue in my mind is the interest. Is it still there? As far as I see things there are an infinite number of excuses which can be made vacations and things to do being just a couple.
The real question to me is whether people really want to play.
If in 6 months time(the rough amount of time since the last tournament game), only a handful of games have been played(I believe more would have been played but there were hopes of additional tournament games by yours truly) for the purpose of testing the new rules as a learning tool for the rest of the group, then I feel it shows an extreme lack of enthusiasm in general.
It is saying that in 6months time, almost no individuals had 5hours of free time(1hour commute each way plus 3hours gaming) at the same time as someone else. That sounds preposterous.
Given a week is 168 hours. At 8hors of sleep per night and 50 hours at work per week that still gives 62 hours per week not involved directly in activities which are out of our control... saying that 3 hours per work day is spent prepping for and getting to and from said office we are at 47 free hours per week... these are quick numbers, just spitballing a figure.
at an average of 4 weeks per month thats 1128 hours of free time for any given person in six months. That is alot of time!!! A game is 2-5 hours!
To me it says that people had the time, but chose to pursue other avenues of excitement. To which I am glad for everyone's good fortune in that they were having a great time!!! It does however again beg the question of priority.
Are we so sick of each others company that we cannot bare being around each other unless we are drinking at a party or bar? Is the game so tedious it is no longer fun? Is the tournament too much pressure?
Can we salvage the game for the group? What would make it more engaging for everyone? Maybe a wager, or setting a single date a month in advance to clear the calendar?
In my mind, It shouldn't be that hard to get a group of friends together to participate in a common interest...

Too many numbers...brain hurty...no read!
OR...the more concise way to say what you were attempting to say...*AHEM*...
"All a y'all bitches got plenty a' time to play dis shit!"
Pardon me. I'm feeling a little weird today. I don't think the lack of game time has anything to do with us being sick of each other. Devoting time to the game means devoting almost 5-6 (or sometimes more!) hours to play ONE game. I love my friends. Of course I want to see them. But it's hard to devote so much time to one game when I work 45 hours a week, see my chiropractor twice a week, have a lawn to mow every 4 days (thank you constant rain storms), cook dinner (thank God the little lady shares this responsibilty!), have a house to clean, visit family, handle repair jobs around the house, etc. etc. etc. Then of course the there's the bbq's, events, bands, art shows, bday parties, etc that is required from friends and family members. There is always something to be done, and quite a bit of it is stuff I'd rather not have to do, but responsibilty dictates I must. It's not like when we used to be able to drink, smoke and hang out playing a 14 hour game (God, I still can't believe we used to do that. Slackers). As for interest...considering you, Servo and I seem to be the only ones posting on here most of the time...maybe some of the interest has been lost.
If it'll help move the game along, I concede my attack. Ghostwheel and Erontherelentless can duke it out however they see fit. Or, we can end the campaign and start something a little more structured. Or...fuck the campaign idea and just play whenever we see fit.
I also meant to say that it might be easier to do something like this if we had a specific time and date each month to get together and play. The problem with that is where? It would be easier if one of us had a place with multiple gaming tables so we all could meet in one spot regularly. But nobody has that much room or tables.

Mr. Odan..... It appears you have seen into the mists I was attempting to use in a beguiling manner! I should have known that mustache would let you rip the thin layer of veneer off reality to peer into realms of deeper conscience. I hope you use this mustachioed vision only for the purposes of good!
But yes, I was trying in a logical fashion to illuminate the greater possibility tat time while being fleeting and thusly precious, is something we all have a little more of than we think. As i was crunching the nauseating numerals I found myself more than a little surprised myself... To the point of thinking WTF am I doing with all of this time!!!
Perhaps I am the only one. But I did think that even with very busy schedules, as friends we should all hang out a bit more. I know, Im selfish, but in general my best times(minus and including including some adult situations) have been with you guys and perhaps I am more than just a little bit frustrated that it is so hard to get together... Afterall you guys are the main reason I moved back here.
I feel like yes, if everyone is down... lets do this... lets keep the tournament alive.... Or as suggested, once per month pick a place and a day and thats whats happening: Hobbying and gaming! For anyone who is interested Menards has the folding 6' table on sale for 29.99 with a 10.00 rebate, I will be picking one up!
That makes three tables... if we each do 2 games in one day, followed by drinks and the ladies... maybe we have somthing... Just throwing it out there...
My schedule has become consistent and I will behaving every other weekend consistently off going forward, minus the month of the triple bday which may or maynot disrupt the patterning, but my boss already okayed the possibility of switching weekends for...
Anywhoo, the time is there... but it has to organized so it does not disrupt peoples lives... I get it, but if everyone is holding their tactics, or saving "boys nights" for a tournament game which will not get played, then we are not taking advantage of friend hangout time which could be spent eating wings and drinking beer...
In the end, the tournament was a huge success whether it goes any further or not and the winner should get a prize if this is the last round... maybe a split between the losers for model of choice non-forgeworld....
Id love to hear feedback!

So from the intel I have received, the tournament is assumed dead. So can we do a poll on here to vote it as such, just to make it official.
